Holy wow, it’s been so long since I posted a recipe or anything else at all! I’m working on getting back into the groove of things, life has gotten busy with work, relationships, friends & a new company I started working with! So many exciting things happening! A couple of weeks ago, I created this breakfast bread & it’s so good, I should have posted about it then! I think this is perfect for a cozy Saturday in or even something to have with the family for the holidays!
Ingredients
1 sheet Pillsbury creascent dough
2 medium apples thinly sliced (peel if you wish :))
1/4c dairy free butter melted (I use Earth Balance or Smart Balance)
3 packets Stevia or Truvia
2 tbsp light brown sugar
2 tsp apple pie spice
Glaze Ingredients
1c stevia powdered sugar
1 tbsp almond milk
Directions
1.) Preheat oven to 375 & roll out dough on a sheet pan
2.) In a bowl, stir together apple slices, stevia/truvia, butter & apple pie spice, making sure apples are coated (I waited to do my apple pie spice until step 3, which you’ll see in the photo, don’t do that!)
3.) Overlap apples and lay them down the center of the dough, leaving a couple of inches of untouched dough on both sides
4.) Fold the dough over apples on all four sides, pressing to make sure all apples are covered and the dough is secure
5.) Use either a knife or kitchen sheers to cut slits in the top of the dough (this will allow heat to rise through)
6. Sprinkle with light brown sugar on top & bake for 17-19 minutes.
7.) While bread is baking, stir together powdered sugar & almond milk. Add in almond milk by the 1/2 tbsp if you need more! I prefer my glaze to be more thick so I stuck with 1 1/2 tbsp, but add to your desired consistency!
8. Once bread is done baking, drizzle glaze, slice & serve!
