Healthy Caramel Pumpkin Spice Latte

Screen Shot 2018-09-22 at 1.22.46 PMIt’s officially fall & I couldn’t be happier. In honor of the best day of the year, second best day of the year, first is Halloween. Obviously. I created this Healthy Caramel PSL 2 weeks ago & I thought today was the perfect day to share it! It’s made with almond milk & is 100% guilt free! A nonfat Tall Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks contains artificial flavors from the syrup & 38g of sugar. I don’t know anyone who wants that in their body.  Whenever I do order Starbucks & want a PSL, I always get a Grande almond milk latte with 1 pump pumpkin spice & 1 pump sugar free cinnamon dolce. Not the healthiest thing because the syrups aren’t great for you, but still healthier than a regular. I can thank Brittany Dawn Fitness for that one!

Now let’s get to my recipe!

Caramel Pumpkin Spice Latte
makes 2 servings

Ingredients
3/4c unsweetened almond milk
1 packet of stevia
1 tbsp 100% pumpkin purée (fresh or canned)
1 tbsp Natural Bliss almond milk caramel creamer
1tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp vanilla extract
16oz medium roast coffee

Directions
1.) In a small pot, add almond milk, caramel creamer, pumpkin purée, & vanilla extract on medium heat.
2.) Whisk until thoroughly mixed.
3.) slowly whisk as you add in pumpkin pie spice & stevia (it will clump if you’re not whisking it)
4.) Once all ingredients are mixed, whisk every few minutes as the mixture begins to steam (about 5-7 minutes). The almond milk should begin to froth.
5.) Fill 2 mugs with 8oz coffee each.
6.) Before removing from heat, whisk mixture vigorously to build the froth.
7.) Split mixture between 2 mugs & top with some more pumpkin spice.
Enjoy!
